Book cover car

Postby BigM on October 19th, 2011, 11:42 am

I was just informed by Troy Paiva [of Lost America nightime photography] that one of his photos taken in my yard of a '58 Plymouth will be used on a reissue on Stephen King's Christine, for release in non- U.S. english speaking countries such as Australia, UK, New Zealand, etc.

Here is a link to his site, click on the '59 Olds photo and it will bring you to the pic of the '58 Plymouth that will be used

Chrissy,
The photo will be used for the cover of a re-release of the Stephen King novel, Christine. I know you have a big collection of different releases from different countries, this will make a good addition to your collection!

I just wish it was in the US, other than the paperback with the movie poster pic the only one was the limited signed copies that cost too much to get today.

The Audio book too.

Good work John. What an honor! I wonder why they would bother to re-release Christine in the countries you mentioned? We speak nothing but English down here in New Zealand, same in UK and Australia. Of course the accent is a little different but I don't think that would come across in print anyway... Perhaps the new version has more sheep in it...? Congratulations John! That is awesome! So what's the deal with the distributor tester? I've read that old automotive "tools" like that are becoming quite collectable in their own right. :)

Wayne, the distributoor tester was used by shops in the '50's and sixties, they are especially helpful in creating the correct advance curve for any given specifications. I still use these, as all my cars [except the diesel truck] still retain their ignition points.
